i totaly agree with all of you
it is a wrong setup but as i am only a member of our houshold i only have a
certain amount of power. we only used to have one computer but as i did lots of
programing  and experimenting etc i stuffied it up alot so i was pushed onto an
older computer on which i installed linux. my family wants to use microsoft
because they want everything simple and to install and have it work. (yes i
know i know ) They use e-mail and a WP and a few games  and lots a surfing their
machine works fine for them running win. I am lucky enough  that they have also
been very helpfull in running proxys and forwarding programs to help me get as
much internet acess through one connection as possible and they have just
bought me win98 SE upgrade. here i think is where some ppl did not understand
me i should have expresed myself better. The program is running on linux and it
always worked when making udp tunnels(only messages and urls) but now i can
have tcp with WIN98SE's ICS function.

for some reason (Anand was right) udp messages are not transversing the network 
they work in the other os but not in linux This is the problem working around a
bad situation
 sure it is backwards but it is alot better then me haveing to get
my own net connection.
